630 free Nol Cards Distributed on Zayed Humanitarian Day
In a heartwarming gesture of kindness and generosity, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) distributed 630 pre-loaded nol cards to limited-income families on Sheikh Zayed Humanitarian Day. This noble initiative, observed on the 19th day of Ramadan, aims to bring joy and support to those in need during the holy month.
The nol cards are typically used for public transport and purchases at the Nol accepted merchants. This benefit ensures that needy families can access not only transportation but also supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, and Tasjeel services across the UAE.
Additionally, RTA’s “Modes of Good” initiative further expands its efforts by distributing about 8000 Iftar meals to public bus drivers, delivery bike riders, and Abra captains. This initiative, an expanded version of the annual “Meals on Wheels” program, ensures that those serving the community are also cared for and supported during Ramadan.
Partnering with the Beit Al Khair Society for the “Ramadan Tent Project,” RTA has extended its reach to provide 2000 to 2500 Iftar meals to fasting individuals. These cumulative efforts served 2530 people on the Humanitarian Day.
